INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES (E-COMMERCE AMENDMENT) ACT NO.    OF 2000

An Act to amend the International Companies Act No. 32 of 1992

BE IT ENACTED by the President and the Parliament as follows:

Amendment of section 10

1.       Section 10 of the International Companies Act No. 32 of 1992 is amended by inserting after paragraph (2)(a) the following paragraphs:

          "         (ab)   offers goods or services:

(i)        electronically from a place of business in Vanuatu; or

(ii)    through an internet or other electronic service provider located in Vanuatu; or

                   (ac)   makes it known by way of advertisement or by any statement on a web-site or by an electronic record as defined in the Electronic Transactions Act No. of 2000 that it may be contacted at a particular address in Vanuatu or it uses a Vanuatu domain address;".

Commencement

2.         This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.
